A game of exploration, survival, and speed.
In Colony Race: Wolf 1061 3 to 6 players take on the roll of factions vying for control of a newly discovered habitable world in the star system Wolf 1061. The journey to this new world will take you through areas of space both dangerous and wonderful, pitting you against the dangers of the void, and the dangers of your fellow players.
Navigate a path through space that takes best advantage of your factions' special abilities, and the custom skillset you apply to your ship. Along the way acquire essential modules needed to construct your colony. Resources will be gained and lost depending on your success or failure each turn. Manage the risks and rewards of the challenges you encounter on your journey to arrive at your new world in one piece, and build your colony first to win.

A grid of cards represents the space between you and your objective. Players advance one space each turn (usually =). Each turn after moving players resolve the challenge with a skill check against one of the two possible skills that can solve the challenge. Success grants resources, failure takes them away.

Skills Manage Risk
Each point in a particular skill gives you a D6 to roll whenever that skill is used. A balanced skillset gives you a moderate chance of success in anything, while a focused skillset gives you a narrower, but easier, path. Each faction also has a unique ability. Some gain free resources, while others get an increase to certain rolls. Leverage your skillset in combination with this unique ability to give yourself an edge.

First to build wins
Arriving at the colony world isn't enough. You have to make a difficult skill check in each area to win. First navigation, to land on the planet. Then science, to build your colony, then combat to set up your defenses that lock everyone else out. The first player to complete the 3rd roll wins.
